ABOUT US

Greig Ashfield, the organizer of OtonaCon, is originally from Toronto, Ontario and has been living in Peterborough, Ontario since coming to the city for university several years ago.  He has been in the gaming hobby since 2004 when he was bribed to try The Settlers of Catan with a six pack of craft beer.  The game was an instant hit and was purchased the day after.  The rest, as they say, is history.  He lives with his wife and three children, all of whom have a love of gaming.

OtonaCon Tabletop Events brings together all of the different OtonaCon events in one place.

We run weekly gaming nights in Peterborough, Ontario.  We run an annual multi-day convention each June in Peterborough, Ontario.  We also run several one day OtonaMiniCons in the golden horseshoe of Ontario.  Combining an over 400 game library, tournaments, the Play Your Fave Gaming Project, and more, we hope to expand the tabletop hobby, create new friends, and have a ton of fun!

If an OtonaCon event has a profit half of the money is funneled back into OtonaCon events, while the other half helps organizer Greig Ashfield’s family in one of a couple of ways.  His youngest son has a rare syndrome which requires extra care and trips to Sick Kids in Toronto which haven’t always been covered through insurance.  When times are good, the profit will be used to sponsor his oldest sons hockey team.  If you have any questions, please ask Greig directly.

If you would like to donate to OtonaCon Tabletop Events, to help fund the website, the games library, miscellaneous costs of the events, or to Greig's family, please feel free to click on the Donate button to the right.  Thank you.
